Police say the bodies of a brother and sister have been discovered in a house which was burnt in a fire in the Limassol village of Vouni on Tuesday morning.
The victims have been identified as being 71-year-old Theodora Efthymiou and her 68-year-old brother Efthymios. The two had been living together in the house which became engulfed by flames at around 10am according to witnesses.
The bodies of the victims were discovered inside the house by fire fighters according Limassol CID Chief Ioannis Soteriades. An autopsy is expected to take place on the bodies.
According to Fire Services Spokesperson Andreas Kettis, foul play has been ruled out.
