Police are investigating fires involving cars in both Limassol and Nicosia in the early hours Sunday.
According to a police announcement, two cars in Limassol caught alight soon after midnight while parked outside a home in Mesa Yitonia. According to the owner of one of the vehicles, he had parked it just 10 minutes before noticing the flames and calling the Fire Service.
Limassol CID is investigating.
Then, soon after 5am on Sunday, the Fire Service was called after two cars, parking outside neighbouring houses in Lakatamia, Nicosia, caught alight.
The owner of one of the cars managed to put out the fire by the time the authorities arrived.
The cause of these blazes in also under investigation.
