Police in Limassol suspect arson to be behind a fire at a wooden hut which killed nine dogs on Saturday morning.
Police say the hut was being used to keep the dogs – which belonged to a 29-year-old man from Limassol. Police and Fire Services officials were dispatched to the scene to investigate the fire, which was reported at 6.20am.
After the flames were extinguished, nine dogs were discovered to have been burned alive. Preliminary investigations have led police to believe that the fire was started deliberately.
Limassol CID are still investigating.
