Police say a fire raging in Paphos close to the village of Kathikas has been brought under control.
The blaze, according to the emergency services, had destroyed over four hectares of wild shrubs before being brought under control at around 6pm.
Strong winds in the area made things harder for firefighters who were also struggling to get to the hard to reach area.

Two helicopters, a plane, five fire engines and vehicles from the Game Services and Forestry Department were dispatched to the area and a strong presence remained even after the blaze was brought under control.
